Protecting us all in uncertain times

Updated: Jul 16, 2020

To all my current students, their families and all future students of L to P Driving School, I just wanted to update you on the precautions I will be taking to keep my students safe.

Once lockdown is lifted and we are able to start coaching students again, there will be certain things which will need to change until a vaccine is found.

L to P Driving School will be taking as many precautions as possible to prevent any potential transfer of the virus to their instructors and their students.

I will be wearing a face mask and will be sanitising my hands and car before the start of each lesson, and will have windows down slightly for a steady through flow of air. In autumn and winter months students may need to wear warmer clothing than in Spring and Summer.

Ahead of every driving lesson I will text each student before their driving lesson to check if they are showing any symptoms

  • A dry cough

  • A high temperature

  • Loss of taste or smell

  • Rash

Before a student enters the car for their driving lesson I will clean down with antibacterial wipes, all surfaces, door handles and controls and keys.

Each student should arrive with a face mask and having washed their hands with soap and water for twenty seconds. I will provide hand sanitiser, which I will ask them to use once in the car and after the lesson.

I will have an infra red thermometer to gauge temperature of each student before getting into the car. Should a student’s temperature exceed 38 degrees then their lesson will not go ahead and they will be charged the lesson, so please be honest when assessing your health 48 hours before your lesson date.

These are uncertain times, but be assured that we will be taking all possible precautions to make your driving lessons as safe and enjoyable.

Take care, stay safe, protect the NHS

Visor and mask, I will be wearing for lessons
