4 second rule - driving in the rain


When it rains hard like it has been, visibility becomes poorer and vehicles and vehicle rear lights less obvious, making it harder to understand the intentions of the vehicle in front. Keep a MINIMUM of 4 seconds gap, the more the better, and reduce your speed so that your screen clears effectively. Get those lights on to make you visible to others and drive safely!
