Haslemere Explorer Scouts learn to drive

What a pleasure it was to give up my time to give six of the Haslemere Explorer Scouts a chance to experience being able to drive for the first time. Inspired by Beargrylls on the radio asking for people with certain skills to give their time up for the Scouts, I thought this experience would be perfect! It was a beautiful sunny day perfect conditions for driving around the Top Gear track. Four of the six were 14 years of age and the other two 16. The students; Josh Alcott, Elliott Francis, Jamie Bell, Claudia Carless, Thomas Maxwell Miles, Ryan Grogan, all managed to drive by the end of 30 minutes, much to the amazement of the Scout leaders and parents.
